About The Position

This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a specific shift designated by the General Manager while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. The role involves ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, and ADA. The Shift Leader must ensure knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures, and ensure the profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities, and sales growth. The position also requires providing leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs culture and mission. Additionally, the Shift Leader assists the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner, participates in training and disciplining employees, ensures all required programs and reports are accurate and completed on schedule, and actively participates in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to restaurant operations.
  • Experience in providing leadership and training to a team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure profitability of the business by operating shifts within established guidelines for food cost, labor, controllables, utilities, and sales growth.
  • Provide leadership to the restaurant team to meet standards of superior guest service, quality, and cleanliness.
  • Assist the GM in coordinating and implementing current operations game plans and company initiatives.
  • Participate in training and disciplining employees under the guidance of the GM.
  • Ensure all required programs, reports, and legal documents are accurate and completed on schedule.
  • Actively participate in all Public Safety Foundation initiatives.
  • Represent Firehouse Subs in a professional, positive manner.
  • Communicate effectively to the GM/Owner any issues that may impact the business.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by GM/Owner.
