A Restaurant Shift Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations during assigned shifts by supervising staff, maintaining quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.?

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or retail environment, with some supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Organize shift schedules for team members
Assigning duties to specific team members based on role and skills
Training new and current team members on task
Respond to guests and come up with creative solutions
Adhering to company policies and health, safety, and employment standards
Balancing cash drawers and preparing cash deposits
Opening/Closing the restaurant
Proficiency in other positions within the restaurant
Team Supervision: Organize shift schedules, assign duties based on team members' roles and skills, and monitor attendance and performance to ensure efficient operations.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
Operations Management: Oversee daily restaurant activities, including food preparation, cleanliness, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Training and Development: Assist in training new and current team members on tasks and company policies, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Financial Accountability: Manage cash handling procedures, balance cash drawers, and prepare deposits to ensure financial accuracy.
