About The Position

Waits on the public as they walk in, takes orders, serves customers, provides refills, and busses tables when the customer is finished. Restocks restaurant supplies: plates, napkins, silverware, cups, trays, etc. Refills salt, pepper, sugar, and cream daily. Prepares coffee for special events held at the Dakota Connection Casino. Helps put away supplies in the restaurant. Must have good customer service skills, friendly, and neat in appearance at all times. Periodically checks to see if there is anything else the customer needs. Cleans and keeps work area clean at all times to avoid accidents. Greets the customer with a smile, says thank you and come again when they leave. Will help wash dishes at slow times or when clean plates, cups, or silverware is needed. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job, must be very dependable. Complies with other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Shift Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager Trainee and/or the General Manager. Other duties as assigned by Management. Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures, and to the MICS. Must adhere to the safety rules and regulations of the Dakota Connection Casino.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver’s License and be insurable on Company’s Policy
  • Obtain Food Handler Certificate
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Customer service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Math skills essential
  • Ability to operate necessary equipment
  • Physical ability to clean and lift moderate amounts of weight
  • Ability to maintain high confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all departments
  • High School Diploma or GED
