This specific position is for a Buffet Server at the Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center, a high-end private hotel and conference center managed by Benchmark Hospitality. This facility is closed to the public, features 1,400 single-occupancy hotel rooms, nine restaurants and lounges, 200,000 square feet of meeting space, a fitness center, jogging trails, and sports fields available to associates. It caters exclusively to professional clientele, avoiding social events like weddings or holiday parties. The property is located in Westlake, Texas. The Buffet Server will work in a marketplace buffet-style restaurant, providing prompt, courteous service to guests and assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant's front of house. This is a tip-free environment, with compensation based on an hourly rate.
Requirements
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Likes to smile and talk to people.
- Food Safety Certification and Texas Alcohol Beverage Certification are required within 30 days of starting and must be re-certified as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Restaurant serving experience preferred, but not required. We will train!
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests to take drink orders.
- Clear, clean and reset plates, tables and maintain a clean workspace.
- Perform side work such as polishing silverware, rolling silver, cleaning side stations, vacuuming, and more.
- Be familiar with all property amenities and other restaurants.
