ABOUT THE ROLE Are you a morning person who loves coffee and creating great guest experiences? We're hiring AM Baristas/Servers to be the face of our coffee bar during our busy morning shifts! As an AM Barista, you’ll do more than just serve coffee—you’ll set the tone for the day. You’ll be responsible for greeting guests, crafting quality beverages, taking and serving orders, and ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. This role is a blend of barista and front-of-house service, so a strong understanding of both coffee and hospitality is key.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Previous coffee or café experience.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Proven work experience, hotel level food serving preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Passion for coffee and customer service
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced morning environment
  • Friendly, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Barista skills a big plus.
  • Previous barista or server experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Take orders from customers, accurately entering them into the restaurant's ordering system.
  • Serve food and drinks to customers, ensuring that orders are correct and presented attractively.
  • Check on customers regularly to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals and to address any concerns.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, balancing receipts at the end of each shift.
  • Welcome guests warmly and guide them through our menu
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and light breakfast items
  • Take customer orders accurately and deliver food and drinks promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked coffee bar and service area
  • Ensure every guest has a positive, memorable experience—from first sip to fond farewell
  • Stay knowledgeable about our food and beverage offerings to help with upselling and recommendations
  • Must have the ability to carry large trays of drinks and food and organize multiple orders.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
  • Maintain and ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of work area/assigned station and the establishment.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations, cleaning/clearing tables and checking tables before, during and while service is provided.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures, including food handling and sanitation.
  • Retain and maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items.
  • Perform accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
