About The Position

Delta Hotels Minneapolis Northeast is seeking an experienced, Restaurant Server for the Twin Cities 400 Tavern. The Twin Cities 400 Tavern is a unique restaurant concept that features the best Burgers, Pizza, and Full-Service Bar with 20 Specialty Beers on Tap. As a premier Northeast destination restaurant, the TC400 Tavern Restaurant Server's primary responsibility will be to create the overall guest experience by providing Remarkable Hospitality to each and every guest.

Responsibilities

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the TC400 Tavern food and beverage menu to be completed through training and testing.
Take orders for all food and beverage items using suggestive selling techniques.
Must have beverage, food and advanced service knowledge including wine service, upselling, and beverage/menu pairings.
Control guest checks and secure proper payment.
Complete side duties, shift checklists, and ensure tables and stations are set.
Cleanliness of dining areas and service areas, including clearing of tables at all times.
Assists the food service team in all aspects of service.
Proper ID checking, along with knowledge of federal, state and local laws, ordinances and regulations in regards to serving to minors or intoxicated persons.
Maintain an accurate cash bank and follow established cash handling policies.
Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
Must be able to speak clearly, read, write and understand the primary languages used in the workplace.
Must possess basic computational ability.
Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
Ability to describe all menu items, alcoholic items, pricing and methods of preparation, with periodic testing at scheduled intervals.
Knowledge and understanding of safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to follow direction.
Ability to remain calm in a hectic, fast paced environment at all times.
Ability to display positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests at all times.
Perform other duties as needed to include vacuuming, cleaning spills and assisting in maintain a clean and organized work area.
