About The Position
As a Restaurant Server at Recovery Sports Grill Chesapeake, you will be an integral part of our team, providing friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Your primary objective will be to ensure that each guest has a marvelous time, encouraging them to return again and again. This role requires a commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, understanding their needs and preferences. You will report directly to the restaurant manager and will be expected to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times. In this position, you will be responsible for welcoming and greeting guests, making them feel comfortable, and ensuring they know you are there to take care of them. You will inform guests of specials and menu changes, make recommendations based on their preferences, and answer any questions they may have about the food, beverages, and restaurant services. Taking food and beverage orders accurately and entering them into our point-of-sale system is crucial, as is delivering these orders in a timely manner. Additionally, you will perform side work at the start and end of each shift, maintain clean service areas, and monitor guests' dining experiences to ensure satisfaction. You will prepare final bills, present checks, accept payments, and process credit card charges. Teamwork is essential, so you should be ready to assist fellow servers and buspersons as needed. Your role will also involve thanking guests for their visit and inviting them to return, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business.
