About The Position

EXCITING OPPORTUNITY IN DOWNTOWN DAVENPORT! HOTEL BLACKHAWK, A FULL SERVICE MARRIOTT AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION, LUXURY HOTEL, IS LOOKING FOR A SERVER TO JOIN OUR TEAM! ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Part-time. Guest Services: 90% Greet guests in a timely, outgoing, and friendly manner Take food and drink orders from restaurant customers Accommodate special needs and requests from guests and staff members Remain attentive to the customer throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to and exceeding service standards Receives proper payment from guests and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times Responds to customer inquiries and comments in person and on the telephone by providing timely and knowledgeable information in order to provide quality customer service Administrative Tasks: 10% Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed Memorizes menu items, recipes, and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendations to customers Maintains cleanliness standards in the restaurant, wait station, and kitchen service area in order to have a clean, presentable, and attractive facility Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer’s order is taken and processed Attends all pre-meal and departmental meetings in person in order to enhance communications and gain knowledge of products, services, and facility Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times
