What a Field SDR does Purpose: Same end goal as a traditional SDR (pipeline + meetings), but they generate it through in-person coverage plus phone backup. Field SDR core job duties • In-person merchant visits as the primary motion. Expectation is 30-40 visits per week and they are on the clock 40 hours/week. • Territory travel within an 80-mile radius, with ability to travel overnight when planned.(Rare) • Call when the map fights back. If leads are too far to visit, they can work them by phone instead, and we’ve explicitly asked for tighter lead proximity where possible. • Blend weekly activity expectations. The working model is “certain number of calls + expected visits,” with missed visits made up by calls (and vice versa). • Coordinate with local sales coverage when territories overlap, so we are not stepping on each other or ignoring easy synergy.
