About the position

The Restaurant Manager assists in the operations of the restaurant and a team of hourly associates during their respective shifts. They are responsible for managing all aspects of their shift including restaurant operations, financial performance, management/staff development, customer satisfaction, quality standards, sales & marketing, and general communications with employees, vendors, customers, and corporate support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team in staffing of the restaurant and daily operational and procedural activities.
  • Supervise and direct staff to assure guests are treated promptly and courteously.
  • Ensure products are prepared as specified in both quality and quantity.
  • Maintain the restaurant in a clean and attractive manner adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training for hourly team members.
  • Evaluate performance and recommend wage increases for hourly team members.
  • Initiate disciplinary action and/or termination for hourly team members.
  • Utilize company-training tools to provide training in all aspects of the restaurant operation.
  • Assist in maintaining restaurant equipment and facility per company guidelines.
  • Perform regular administrative tasks including payroll actions, inventory ordering, and employee scheduling.
  • Investigate, resolve and respond to guest complaints.
  • Attend regularly scheduled store, market and company meetings and training sessions.
  • Assist the GM with planning and implementation of local store marketing activities.
  • Ensure proper execution of all accounting functions and compliance with internal audit guidelines.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Business Administration or Hospitality preferred; High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a restaurant environment for external candidates.
  • Good record of achieving results and knowledge of brand's operating procedures for internal candidates.
  • Ability to adapt to business needs and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment.
  • Functional understanding of Profit & Loss statements and cost controls.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills; Excel preferred.
  • Successful completion of a background and drug screening.
