About The Position

The Restaurant Maintenance Technician responsible for the ongoing repair and maintenance of all Wendy’s and Which Wich restaurants. Duties include, but are not limited to cosmetic repair, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and on-demand service calls. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for overall repair & maintenance of all Wendy’s and Which Wich restaurants. Performs cosmetic repairs such as tile work, painting, etc. Performs preventative maintenance on kitchen cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems Responds to on-demand service requests for cooking equipment, refrigeration, and HVAC systems Maintains working knowledge of electrical & plumbing systems Oversees external service providers when dispatched Records maintenance and repair work via internal maintenance ticketing system Supports and facilitates organizational changes, continuous improvement, and communication Embodies personal leadership qualities through the following: Be in the moment to ensure authentic and humanistic interactions. Requirements

  • Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
  • HVAC Certification with experience in commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Maintenance
  • Possess a valid state-issued Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Excellent Communication to restaurant management team(s), District Managers, and Director of Operations
  • Effective critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; strong business acumen and curiosity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills: strong self-concept and ability to make decisions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail
  • Requires rapid and thorough decision making and creative problem-solving skills, good judgment as well as the ability to accept personal accountability for areas of responsibility
  • Acts with integrity and professionalism
  • Experience with MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred.
  • Ability to travel to and from various sites outside of local daily
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Experience in refrigeration repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, and drive.
  • Lift up to 50lbs daily and 50-100lbs on occasion.
  • Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment, verbal instructions, and machinery.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills.
  • Basic or Complex speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions.
  • General vision requirements in addition to close vision (<20 inches), Distance Vision (>20 feet), color vision and peripheral vision.
  • Normal (<85dB) noise levels
  • Regularly & repetitively use left/right/both feet and left/right/both hands.
  • General working conditions include wet/humid/steam conditions not created by weather, slippery floors, hot grease, working with mechanical parts and machinery including machinery that contains moving parts, asbestos exposure, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat/cold, confined areas, pressurized equipment, Oxygen/Acetylene, Cylinders, CO2 Cylinders, electrical equipment, vibration, possible flying debris, flashing/strobing lighting and work around vehicles in motion.
