About The Position

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald's USA. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald's logos and food products, for example, when running the restaurant. However, this franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald's USA. If you are hired for the job described in this posting, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald's USA. Only the franchisee is responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervisions, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald's USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant. Requirements

  • At least 3 years experience as a General Manager in a hospitality setting (restaurant, retail, hotel/hospitality).
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and act on a Profit and Loss (PnL) Statement.
  • Ability to execute labor controls and coach the leadership team on labor controls.
  • Ability to create action plans, delegate tasks, and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Ability to manage succession plans for all leaders and conduct one-on-ones to develop internal talent.
  • Ability to maintain a fun, productive, and compliant workplace.
  • Ability to manage a safe workplace and ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Effective communication skills to track goals.
  • Ability to manage by walking around and encourage the use of established systems and standards.
  • Strategic leadership skills to set and track business objectives.
  • Business owner mindset for the assigned unit.
  • Ability to ensure compliant performance management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Run a profitable restaurant and ensure it meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Work with the leadership team to set the restaurant's goals and create a plan to achieve them.
  • Lead an Assistant Restaurant Leader and a team of Department Leaders.
  • Help Department Leaders set and align goals, follow up on their progress, and provide coaching and direction.
  • Support operational excellence and continued growth within the restaurant.
  • Understand, analyze, and act on a Profit and Loss (PnL) Statement.
  • Execute labor controls and coach the leadership team on labor controls.
  • Create action plans, delegate tasks, and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Manage succession plans for all leaders and conduct one-on-ones to develop internal talent.
  • Maintain a fun, productive, and compliant workplace focused on people.
  • Manage a safe workplace and ensure compliance with brand standards, food safety, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate and track goals.
  • Manage by Walking Around (MBWA) to encourage the use of systems, standards, and routines.
  • Lead strategically, set business objectives, track objectives, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Act with the mindset of a business owner for the assigned unit.
  • Ensure compliant performance management processes are followed.
  • Lead employee-centric training programs within the restaurant.
  • Lead a culture of hospitality to ensure the restaurant excels in guest service.
  • Oversee talent acquisition for restaurant-level roles.
