About The Position
RESTAURANT HOST Are you looking for a new opportunity in a fun and creative environment? Then we want you!! Embassy Suites in Rockford, IL is looking for talented people to join our team as part time Restaurant Hosts. We offer flexible work schedules, and for those interested, cross-training in a variety of positions and the opportunity to learn the hotel industry. Embassy team members are passionate about their work and also like to have fun! It’s an “all hands-on deck” kind of environment to get our jobs done. As a Restaurant Host on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include: Check the reservation book for reservations for the next meal period. Notify the manager of any parties of more than six. Distribute reservations among all servers equally, informing them of all information necessary. Always answer the phone politely using a friendly tone and being informative. Use “Reservation Protocol” when taking reservations and enter information directly into the reservation system. Welcome all restaurant guests in a warm and friendly manner. Seats guests and manage the seating chart. Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities: Previous experience as a Restaurant Host. Knowledge of food and beverage menus. Excellent customer service skills.
