About The Position

It is the responsibility of the Host/Hostess to greet guests as the enter the outlet, take reservations if needed, show the guest to their table and provide menus. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values. Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
  • Health card is required
  • Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone.
  • Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Experience preferred but will train willing individual.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
  • Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
  • Frequently stooping, reaching.
  • Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
  • Work with others in close spaces.
  • Moderate to high noise levels.
  • Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a friendly manner
  • Seat guests and provide menus
  • Answering phone calls, take reservations as needed, answer guests’ questions.
  • Knowledge of menu items.
  • Attends pre-shift meetings.
  • Maintains uniform appearance according to established guidelines.
  • Welcomes guests, removes extra set-ups, and serves water to guests.
  • Assists Food Server as needed.
  • Assists with maintaining a neat, clean, and safe working environment.
  • Turns-over/Takes-over station according to established procedure.
  • Assist with to-go orders.
  • Assist with sorting, polishing and rolling up silverware.
  • Completes special projects as requested by Food & Beverage management.
