About The Position

SSP America operates several restaurants throughout Boston Logan International Airport. We are looking for a friendly and energetic Host/Hostess to join our team! As the first point of contact for our guests, you will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience by providing a warm welcoming face that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience! Requirements

6 months' experience working in customer service, retail, hospitality or food service environment
High school diploma preferred
Verbal and written communication in French and English
Experience in dealing with problems involving customer service
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, etc.
Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests in a courteous and professional manner and escort them to their table
Manage the seating chart and coordinate table assignments for smooth service flow.
Assist guests with children and special needs, as required
Present menus, answer questions and offer suggestions regarding food and service
Inform servers and management of special needs and/or potential problems with guests
Clear and reset counters or tables at conclusion of each course
Ensure complete guest satisfaction
Thank guests as they leave and ensure they had a great experience
Other duties as assigned
