Welcome to your estate of wellbeing. Position Summary: The Host is responsible for greeting and seat restaurant guests while demonstrating an upbeat, energetic, & welcoming personality. Acts as a restaurant concierge, you are the first interaction with our guests.

Requirements

Excellent communication and listening skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Possesses valid Food Handler’s card
Accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
Be highly detail orientated
Must possesses excellent communication skills
Be professional in appearance and demeanor
Ensures a teamwork environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
Ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests
High School Diploma
Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift
Must be able to move, put tables/chairs together and/or separate them
Ability to bend, squat, push and pull frequently
Ability to be outdoors in all-weather
Ability to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.

Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.
Will be responsible for making, changing, and confirming restaurant reservations via OpenTable & phone
Will follow up on hotel front desk requests regarding reservations, Taste of Guadalajara sign ups, special events, etc.
Help servers and other restaurant staff polish and roll silverware
Maintains cleanliness and organization of Host stand
Ensures opening, ongoing and closing side work is complete and signed off by a manager on duty
Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied guest spaces. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised
Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Miramonte dress code standards
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time
Performs other related duties as assigned
Offers menu advice and suggestions to guests
Provides general resort information for guests
Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort activities as well as any special events
Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
Greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, seating guests with a genuine and welcoming smile, inquiring about special occasions or dietary restrictions.
Using ticket printer to ensure communication regarding guests' reservations and ensure the servers receive the chit’s once the guest has been seated.
Take to go food orders for walk ups & call ins
Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Miramonte including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest
