As a Restaurant Host/Hostess at Destination Geneva National, you will join a vibrant and fast-paced environment located along the picturesque shores of Lake Como in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This part-time position is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in the Food & Beverage industry or as a stepping stone towards roles such as server or bartender. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to providing an exceptional and memorable dining experience for both members and guests of the resort. Your primary responsibilities will include warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, escorting them to their tables, and providing them with menus. You will also be responsible for managing reservations, answering phone calls, and ensuring that the dining area is organized and clean. It is essential to check dining notes for any special requests or dietary restrictions and to assign guests to tables while considering table rotation. You will need to maintain a friendly demeanor and a genuine service mindset, ensuring that every guest feels valued and attended to. In addition to these duties, you will be expected to assist your team as needed, which may include bussing tables, setting up for service, and filling to-go orders. Upholding high standards of sanitation and safety is crucial in this role, as is the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members. This position requires a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy restaurant setting.
