About The Position
The beautiful AAA Four Diamond Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is looking for a Host to join their team. This property boasts 6 exquisite dining options and over 60,000 square feet of gorgeous indoor/outdoor event space. A Restaurant Host is responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, the role involves welcoming guests, ascertaining their dining needs, seating guests, managing the seating chart, monitoring restaurant activity, performing opening and closing duties, assisting with side work, ensuring menu knowledge, and responding to guest inquiries and requests. Requirements
- A minimum of 3 months experience in full-service restaurant or food and beverage
- Previous customer service experience
- The ability to work weekends and holidays as needed, open availability

Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart
- Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
- Perform opening and closing duties, as needed
- Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc.
- Ensure knowledge of menu
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
- Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
