About The Position

Buehler’s Cooks prepare food for our customers eating in our restaurants. We have loyal customers that join us for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we love to make each meal a great experience for that customer. One of our company strategies is to become the Best in Food Service and have the Freshest Foods, and that starts with one meal at a time. Our Food Service teammates love to prepare and serve food while following established food production programs and procedures.

Requirements

Attained at least 18 years of age; or if age 16-17 cannot operate any equipment (slicer, buffalo chopper, etc.)
Able to meet the requirements to occasionally stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50# and occasionally 80#
Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and can do simple math problems
Able to work within our deli/kitchen environment that includes equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef’s knives…so frequently you will be exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise

Responsibilities

Operate the grill, fryers and related equipment
Set-up, organize, and prepare food using established production procedures and systems
Comply with sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards, and housekeeping to keep the work area clean
Observe proper food handling techniques
Store food properly and safely, mark the date and item.
Assist foodservice team with any food preparation that needs completed
