About The Position

The Busser role at Choice Hotels International involves maintaining a clean and efficient dining area by bussing tables and assisting servers in providing excellent guest service. Requirements

• Experience in a similar position within an upscale restaurant environment is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate with department managers, team members, and guests.
• Ability to retain and provide general hotel information.
• Strong team spirit and ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain service area assignment(s) at the beginning of each shift.
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated and bring water to the table.
• Remove used tableware between courses and provide tableware for the next course.
• Clear tables after guests and take tableware to the dish room.
• Promptly clean table tops, chairs, and booths between seating.
• Check the floor and clean as required.
• Reset and arrange tabletops for the next guests.
• Respond appropriately to guest requests and communicate them to the server as needed.
• Assist the server with food delivery, especially during peak periods.
• Thank guests as they are leaving and ensure a smooth operation of the restaurant.
