About The Position

As a Restaurant Bartender, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining and social experience by expertly preparing and serving a wide variety of beverages. Your primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction through attentive service, accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. You will engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, recommend drinks, and handle transactions efficiently. This role requires balancing speed and quality while adhering to all safety and alcohol service regulations. Ultimately, your contribution will enhance the restaurant’s reputation and encourage repeat patronage.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a bartender or in a customer service role within a restaurant or bar setting.
  • Knowledge of standard drink recipes and bar equipment operation.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol).
  • Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
  • Strong knowledge of craft cocktails and mixology techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences.
  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glassware and utensils.
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and comply with all local and state alcohol service laws.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and efficiently, balancing the cash register at the end of shifts.
  • Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any customer concerns promptly.
  • Monitor customer behavior to prevent overconsumption and ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
