About The Position

The REST Program is a school-based intervention that offers universal screening, student consultation, and group therapies focused on trauma and social emotional skill building. The REST Program Coordinator supports the coordination and implementation of the REST Program and facilitation of our group offerings in schools. This position may also facilitate groups. This position reports directly to the REST Program Manager. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a behavioral health-related field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy).
  • Minimum licensure as an APSW, LPC-IT, or MFT-IT.
  • 1+ of experience in related behavioral health field.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with the use of evidence-based practices for treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders.
  • Experience in community-based mental health and co-occurring assessments, case management, treatment planning, and crisis resolution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing).
  • Ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team with a positive and creative attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and remain organized and efficient.
  • Superior ethics and interpersonal boundaries as evidenced by experience in community-based work with related professional references.
  • Ability to work in Excel and other computer programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor in Training, Clinical Substance Abuse Experience
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/Hmong/Cambodian, ASL)
  • Lived experience as a member of a historically marginalized group based on race, or culture.
  • Experience developing or scaling culturally specific mental health programs, particularly those centering Black or BIPOC youth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with REST Program trainings annually for school staff and clinicians.
  • Match community therapists with school Student Services Teams to provide co-facilitation of mental health and social emotional school-based groups.
  • Track group placements and completion of groups during the school year.
  • Conduct REST student consults (interviews) and provide group facilitation for REST Program groups, when needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders such as school district and community mental health agency clinicians.
  • Present to school staff, community partners on the REST Program and trauma-informed care.
  • Review submitted mental health screeners through REST Connect and monitor for critical issues.
  • Follow up with school staff when needed.
  • Assist with program impact reports annually.
  • Manage the program website.
  • Coordinate, schedule and participate in Consult Review meetings with school teams.
  • Attend mental health resource fairs when requested by REST Program partners.
  • Attend meetings, in-services, JMHC Committees, trainings and activities as directed.
