About The Position

The nLogic team is seeking a Responsible Systems Engineer to join our team in the Huntsville, AL area. The Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) candidate will support cross-functional teams to develop system level architecture and requirements for Missile Defense Agency (MDA) incremental capability. The candidate will use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to evaluate architectural impacts through functional and behavior analysis for conventional and advanced threats systems within the (MDA) mission areas. The RSE will collaborate in an MBSE environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis and the development of Change Notices (CNs) to MDA's system specifications to include functional, interface and performance requirements, architectural models, interface definitions, and support trace verification from System to Element level requirements. The RSE will develop and deliver products (i.e., technical briefings, CNs) to support internal and MDA stakeholder reviews.

Requirements

  • The RSE must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in related areas.
  • The RSE must demonstrate a strong technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition, and allocation of requirements (performance, functional, and interface definition) with system-modelling tools.
  • Candidate must have strong prior experience with use of MSOSA (Cameo) and DOORS and demonstrated knowledge in any of the MDA domain areas including Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Glide Phase Intercept (GPI), Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor(HBTSS), Fire Control, C2BMC, MDS sensors (EO/IR/RF).
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to think critically and capture concepts in papers, presentations and discussions.
  • The individual must possess good communication/presentation skills and be capable of working both independently and within a small team environment.
