Reporting to the Senior Manager, Responsible AI, the person in this role will translate policy into practice by building automated guardrails and review processes, integrating them into engineering toolchains, and partnering with product, security, legal, and data governance to ensure consistent, auditable, and efficient adoption across teams. This position is based in Plano, TX. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a commutable distance of this location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6–10 years of experience in process automation or governance engineering in software contexts.
  • At least 3 years of experience integrating controls into development and operations tool chains.
  • Proven delivery of at least three end-to-end automated governance workflows in enterprise environments, with documented reductions in review cycle time or compliance exceptions.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and scripting automation in tools such as Git-based platforms, continuous integration and delivery systems, ticketing/workflow tools, and monitoring systems.
  • Demonstrated measurement discipline: defined, instrumented, and reported operational metrics for process performance and compliance, with quarterly improvement targets met.
  • Strong documentation and audit readiness: authored or maintained policy-aligned procedures and evidence artifacts that passed internal or external audits without major findings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing Responsible AI or model governance controls, including bias monitoring, privacy safeguards, content safety checks, or human-in-the-loop escalation.
  • Background in regulated or safety-critical domains such as automotive, manufacturing, finance, or healthcare, with successful alignment to specific regulatory frameworks.
  • Built and maintained a reusable control library or workflow templates that were adopted by multiple teams or business units.
  • Led cross-functional rollouts of new governance processes to 100+ users, including training materials, office hours, and feedback loops, with measurable adoption targets achieved.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated workflows, tools, dashboards, and applications that enforce Responsible AI requirements across the software development lifecycle, including approvals, documentation, testing, and deployment gates.
  • Build and maintain centralized templates, checklists, and evidence capture for Responsible AI reviews, ensuring every AI change is traceable, auditable, and linked to business context and risk level.
  • Integrate Responsible AI checks into engineering tools such as version control, continuous integration and delivery, ticketing systems, and monitoring platforms to enable in-line guardrails.
  • Define and track key performance indicators for Responsible AI operations, including reviewing cycle time, defect escape rate, control coverage, and compliance exceptions; drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, privacy, legal, and data governance to align automated controls with internal policies and applicable regulations; keep process documentation current and accessible.
  • Create and manage a catalog of pre-approved patterns and components for common AI use cases, including usage policies and constraints, to accelerate safe delivery.
  • Run structured change management: pilot new processes with selected teams, collect feedback, refine workflows, and scale through training, playbooks, and communications.
