About The Position

The Response to Intervention (RtI) (Instructional Support) Team Member position is designed to assist in meeting the needs of all students within the Bellingham Public Schools. This role involves collaboration with the RtI Coordinator and participation in various activities aimed at supporting students who require additional assistance. The position is available at multiple school buildings, including High School, Memorial School, DiPietro Elementary, and Stall Brook Elementary, with up to four members per building.

Requirements

  • Regular and/or special education Massachusetts certified teacher.
  • Must be a current member of the Bellingham Public Schools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Response to Intervention (RtI) (Instructional Support) Coordinator to problem-solve and meet the needs of all students.
  • Process referrals and send out meeting invitations to parents, RtI Members, students, psychologists, guidance counselors, and teachers.
  • Attend meetings for the Response to Intervention (RtI) (Instructional Support) Team.
  • Collect current teacher reports using the Teacher Reports/Assessment and a three-year academic, attendance, and discipline history.
  • Participate in one weekly after-school Response to Intervention (RtI) (Instructional Support) support class for referred students.
  • Record student attendance and work summary for 30 days in the Response to Intervention (RtI) (Instructional Support) support class.
