About The Position

The position involves providing a variety of activities for families that serve as a needed break, easing stress at home and improving family harmony. Activities may include getting a child to school or programs, aiding after school, at night, on weekends, and providing assistance in the home. Respite care may be provided in the child's home and within the community where the child's and family needs are best met.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with youths with behavioral or emotional problems preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a dependable vehicle.
• Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding history of abuse/maltreatment of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities for families to ease stress and improve harmony.
• Assist children with transportation to school or programs.
• Offer aid after school, at night, and on weekends.
• Provide respite care in the child's home and community.

Benefits
