About The Position

Pawnee Mental Health is a non-profit Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC) helping underserved populations in 10 counties here in North-Central Kansas. We are a vibrant community of passionate people looking for our next teammate - you! As a Respite Provider, you'll offer compassionate support to youth experiencing mental health challenges, providing short-term, structured care in home, school, and community settings. Your role is crucial in helping clients stabilize and avoid hospitalization by delivering one-on-one support and collaborating closely with families and treatment teams.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years-of-age or older.
• Strong oral and written communication skills using the English language.
• Basic personal computer skills which enable the entry, retrieval and use of electronic data.
• A valid driver's license and automobile liability insurance is maintained in accordance with Pawnee policy and procedure.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in a human services field and/or related work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support and direct services to youth in crisis or needing supervision in homes, schools, the respite house, or community settings.
• Assist with daily activities, symptom management, and community outings.
• Collaborate with families and treatment teams to share client progress and ensure services align with treatment plans.
• Transport clients and travel to service locations using personal or company vehicles as needed.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Ensure a safe, stable, and welcoming environment by maintaining cleanliness and order in the respite house during shifts.
