About The Position

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible. Are you passionate about making a real difference in someone's life? We're seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dynamic individual to join our team as a Teen Respite Provider! This role is all about providing valuable support and temporary relief to family caregivers while helping a teen with special needs grow, feel safe, and have fun!

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Background check (criminal & caregiver)
• Previous caregiving experience or experience with special needs is preferred
• Valid driver's license is a plus

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable providing interactive activities (including computer and video games!)
• Willing to accept feedback from parents to ensure the best care possible
• Able to apply de-escalation techniques to maintain calm and positive interactions
• Open to building strong relationships and having fun along the way

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, individualized care for a teen with special needs
• Support them during online schooling and other activities
• Use redirection and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors
• Help build their confidence and independence
• Spend quality time doing activities the teen enjoys
