In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain independence, improve daily living skills, and engage in meaningful activities, both at home and in the community. Numerous other IHS Positions throughout the Metro available now: Falcon Heights : 6 hours (10-1pm Wed, Fri). Saint Paul : 4-6 hours per week, over two weekdays during the day. Minneapolis : Sat. 10am-2pm. Edina : 6 hours per week, Mon & Fri. Hugo: 8 hours on weekdays (Mon, Fri). South St. Paul: 7 hours per week (1:30-5:00pm Mon, Tues). Eden Prairie: 9 hours (evenings) Stillwater: 7 hours (Tues, Thurs). Requirements

• High school degree/G.E.D. and be 18 years of age or older.
• Pass DHS background study and maintain clearance to provide direct services without continuous supervision.
• Reliable vehicle with valid driver's license, proof of car insurance and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care and Support: Offer assistance with personal care, including hygiene, meals, and medication management.
• Engagement in Activities : Facilitate enjoyable and meaningful activities to ensure individuals remain engaged and active at home and in the community.
• Life Skills Training : Assist individuals in learning and improving skills for independent living, including budgeting, grocery shopping, and meal planning.
• Emotional Support : Foster companionship and provide emotional support, creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere.
• Household Assistance : Help with household chores such as meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
• Safety and Well-being : Ensure a safe and secure environment for the individuals you support.
