The Respite Program Assistant works at EOCP's Respite Care Program, located at Crossroads Emergency Housing. The program provides recuperative care and temporary shelter for homeless adult men and women being discharged from the Alameda Health System hospitals (e.g. Highland, Alameda, San Leandro, and Fairmont) who do not have a home and do not require further hospitalization or skilled medical care. The Respite Care Program Assistant is supervised by the Respite Care Program Manager and works collaboratively with a Health Coach, Case Manager, and 3.5 FTE's Health Assistants. This position ensures that all respite care clients achieve wellness, through coordination with onsite staff, the Alameda County Health System and community services. The Respite Program Assistant works 7:30 am to 4 pm, Sunday to Thursday.
