About The Position

The Respite and Family Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting families who are caring for a child/youth with disabilities, behavioral health needs, chronic illness or other special needs. They provide short-term relief, advocacy and support to primary caregivers. They spend quality time with children and youth through safe, engaging activities in the home and/or community settings.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a high school diploma, high school equivalency, or a State Education Commencement Credential (e.g. SACC or CDOS).
• Experience working with children/youth and families is preferred.
• Must clear the State Central Registry Clearance, Staff Exclusion List Clearance and OMH Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
• Must possess a valid/clear driver's license and dependable vehicle.
