Requirements

  • Associate Degree – Respiratory Therapy
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist
  • RT License in the state of Philadelphia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree – Respiratory Therapy
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • 5 years respiratory therapy experience
  • 3 years adult or pediatric ICU setting experience
  • 5 years management/supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the clinical and management functions of the Respiratory Care Department including training and development, performance, financial management and age appropriate clinical care for the infant, toddler, pre-school, school age, adolescent and young adult clients.
  • Department activities contribute to the mission and goals of the hospital.
  • Plans, coordinates, directs, evaluates, and delegates respiratory care activities 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Ensures excellence and ongoing improvements in care provided to patients and families.
  • Responsible for revenue cycle and auditing of documentation.
  • Oversee in the maintenance of equipment / supplies, work with Biomedical Services to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problem(s), the identification and monitoring of performance improvement activities and policy development to keep current with changes in medical advancements in cardiopulmonary respiratory therapy patient care.
