Minimum Requirements : Must currently be enrolled and remain enrolled in a school of respiratory therapy Must have completed one semester of respiratory therapy school Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association prior to higher Important Information you should know: You will need to submit grades and class registration every semester prior to working SRTs are required to work a minimum of 1 shift per pay period (2 weeks in a pay period) Limited openings make Driscoll’s Student Respiratory Therapy Tech Program highly competitive. Selection will be based on meeting the minimum requirements, successful completion of coursework, completed application, resume, and the interview process. General Purpose of Job: The Student Respiratory Therapy Tech provides respiratory therapy services to patients within the hospital and complies within the established standards of practice, policies, and clinical guidelines reflective of evidence-based practice.
