About The Position

Are you currently enrolled in Respiratory Therapy program and interested in gaining hands on experience in your chosen field of study? Then the Student- Respiratory Therapy Assistant (RTA) position is the perfect one for you! Our RTA positions give Respiratory students an opportunity to get hand-on experience in a clinical setting. These positions include starting and discontinuing therapies for patients, learning about patient record keeping, and learning how to properly utilize Respiratory Therapy equipment. In addition to gaining clinical knowledge and experience, our RTAs are uniquely positioned to move into official Registered Respiratory Therapy roles at Indiana University Health. These team members get an outstanding opportunity to experience all the different ways Respiratory Therapists impact patient lives for the better.
