About The Position

This position represents patient care directed toward pediatric critical care areas; step down areas, and general care areas.

Requirements

• HS/GED Required.
• Must be licensed by the ASBRT and registered by the NBRC or credentialed as a Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) by the NBRC.
• Certification of PALS and NRP are preferred for all applicants and are mandatory within one year.
• Certification of BLS is preferred for hire processes and required within the orientation period, not to exceed 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Certification of ACLS is preferred.
• Clinical experience obtained while attending Respiratory program and will be able to function in critical settings including initiation, and support of, mechanical ventilation.
• Additional experience relating to intubation and pediatric transport competencies are preferred upon hire.
• Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
• Must have the ability to perform and recommend procedures in all areas of bronchial hygiene, oxygen therapy, respiratory diagnostic procedures, and all levels of mechanical ventilation.
