About The Position

UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Manager to lead our Respiratory Care Department in a hospital setting. This leadership role is ideal for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with management experience who is passionate about team development, operational excellence, and high-quality patient care. As the Respiratory Therapy Manager, you’ll oversee daily respiratory therapy operations, support and mentor respiratory therapists, and collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and hospital administration to deliver safe, effective respiratory care. Requirements

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
Active Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or ability to obtain)
Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare Administration, or related field
8+ years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
5+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
BLS required

Nice To Haves

ACLS and PALS preferred

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department
Lead, coach, and develop respiratory therapists, including staffing and scheduling
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulatory standards
Partner with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams
Monitor department performance, quality metrics, and productivity
Oversee respiratory equipment, supplies, and budget planning
Support hiring, onboarding, and retention of respiratory therapy staff
Promote evidence-based respiratory care practices and continuous improvement
