About The Position

This position has 24 hour a day responsibility for daily operations, staffing, staff development (licensure, competency, orientation, etc.), communication, supplies, patient assignment, student rotations, department standards of care and procedures. Enforces the billing and documentation standards. Keeps the director and medical director informed and involved as appropriate. Able to provide direct patient care for patients’ ages neonate through geriatric as necessary and provide the appropriate educational opportunities as required for the department.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain a Respiratory Care Practitioner License from the State of Georgia. It is the individual’s responsibility to meet all educational, ethical and moral qualifications necessary to maintain a license in good standing.
• Must be a graduate of A.M.A. approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist via the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Must maintain BLS, ACLS and neonatal certifications.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Therapist.

Nice To Haves

• Membership in a professional organization preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
