About The Position

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate staff development activities for respiratory therapy services. Collaborate with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff. Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilize methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Serve as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Participate in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs. Evaluate respiratory practice and treatment based on patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Four years Adult Critical Care experience heavily preferred
  • Exeptional computer skills, as well as organizational and communication skills are very essential. Ability to present is essential as well.
