About The Position
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for safely and effectively administering all phases of respiratory care per departmental procedures. Performs accurate patient assessment for respiratory care, reviews patient information and recommends appropriate therapy to the ordering physician. Administers respiratory medications via SVN, MDI & DPI, performs cardiopulmonary testing (EKG, PFT), sets up, maintains, and manages non invasive positive pressure devices and ventilators. Records accurate therapy and medication administration in medical record timely. Educates patients on respiratory care procedures. Records therapy and medication administration electronically.
