Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute. Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing, implementing, evaluating and documenting respiratory care in accordance with HMC standards and under the direction of the department Manager and Medical Director in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality respiratory care. The Registered Respiratory Therapist must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide respiratory care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. This individual is responsible for the administration of oxygen, various treatment modalities, and ventilator management. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practice Act. Must be able to demonstrate awareness and appropriateness in the care of patients at end of life.
