Heartline Staffing is seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist for the following opportunity. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating respiratory care to achieve optimal outcomes for patients of all ages. This role collaborates closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families to develop and implement age-appropriate plans of care. The Respiratory Therapist manages resources, establishes priorities, and adapts the care environment to meet patient needs while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality. In this role, the Respiratory Therapist serves as a clinical role model for peers, students, and physicians, and actively participates in unit and organizational initiatives that support professional practice and patient-centered care. This opportunity offers growth within an expanding healthcare environment, including staffing for a newly built hospital wing.

Requirements

  • Associate degree and/or certification from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapy program required
  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Virginia
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Ability to obtain BLS within three months of employment
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP within one year if required by department

Benefits

  • Hourly compensation ranges from $27.70 to $41.55 based on experience.
  • A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered and paid out over three years.
