About The Position

Fairview is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team at our Fairview Woodwinds Hospital location in Woodbury, MN! We're offering a $9,000 sign-on bonus and up to a $5,000 relocation bonus! The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician. Follows defined treatment protocol according to department policies. Collects, assesses, interprets, and intervenes as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Ensures patient welfare and safety standards during treatments. Schedule : This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the day shift. This position will also work a rotation every third weekend. Benefits : This position is eligible for benefits. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
  • Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) with 3 or more years of respiratory therapist experience in clinical setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Responsibilities

  • Assessing patient needs and identifies expected outcomes.
  • Implementing Respiratory interventions based on plan of care.
  • Evaluating care and the patient's response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
  • Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
  • Operating and maintaining all Respiratory Care equipment.
