About The Position

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Reception and Medical Center located in Lake Butler, Florida (Union County). The Respiratory Therapist (RT) is responsible for providing assessment, treatment, and care for patients with breathing disorders. The RT assumes primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, initiates, and conducts therapeutic procedures in a correctional setting.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree from an AMA approved Respiratory Care Program
• Credentialed as a Certified Respiratory (CRT) Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care and have active license in the state of practice
• Current CPR certification and tuberculosis documentation
• At least one (1) year experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
• Knowledge of practices, standards, techniques, and tools/equipment applicable to basic and advanced respiratory patient care, including critical care, oxygen therapy, home ventilator management, chest physiotherapy, spirometry, aerosol therapy, EKGs, arterial blood gas analysis, patient assessment, and airway management
