About The Position

Premiere Healthcare Staffing connects talented healthcare professionals with partner facilities to provide exceptional, compassionate care. This position is for a Respiratory Therapist (Respiratory Care Practitioner II - RCP II) in Reno, NV, offering per diem shifts for days and nights, with an assignment length of 12 weeks. The role involves performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager. Key aspects include the assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. The RCP II may also occasionally serve as a Lead RCP, taking responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

Requirements

Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintain current
Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain
One (1) year of experience

Responsibilities

Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the ordering provider
Assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient
May on occasion be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift
