About The Position

Respiratory Therapist– Developmental Center

cTrace Solutions is seeking a Respiratory Therapist in Fairfield, CT. This role offers competitive pay, weekly compensation, and Sign on bonus

Location: Fairfield, CT
Compensation: $50 per hour (DOE) plus $200 Sign-On Bonus
Schedule: Looking for coverage for 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift, will be working 40 hours per week
Contract length: Ongoing Contract (no set time length) Long-term assignment

Requirements

• Active Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
• Current CRT or RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Administer advanced and basic respiratory therapies, including mechanical ventilation, aerosol treatments, intermittent positive pressure breathing, sputum induction, and postural drainage.
• Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot all types of ventilatory support.
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, including blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing.
• Accurately document respiratory treatments, assessments, and patient responses in patient records.
• Participate in emergency and resuscitative efforts as required.
• Develop respiratory care protocols, provide staff education and training, and ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functionality of respiratory equipment.
