• Active New York State license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
• Minimum 2 years of post–A.A.S. clinical acute care experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

Responsibilities

• Administer positive pressure ventilation and aerosol therapy treatments
• Initiate, monitor, and manage oxygen therapy for patients
• Assist physicians with the initiation and maintenance of continuous mechanical ventilation
• Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as required
• Conduct pulmonary function testing
• Perform radial arterial punctures for arterial blood gas analysis
• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care services in an acute care setting
• Perform the majority of patient care functions independently with minimal orientation and supervision
