About The Position

Full time (72 hours biweekly) 6:45p-6:45a, three days per week Weekend and holiday rotation General Summary Performs respiratory care modalities according to established standards and practices. Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: Administers respiratory therapy modalities as per the physician, clinical practice guidelines, and/or clinical pathway; charts treatment, response and progress. Modifies therapy to maximize efficacy of the therapy regimen. Provides quality care consistent with appropriate policies and procedures, quality assessment program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Common Expectations: Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s). Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required. Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Certificate Program Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training.
  • Required Work Experience: 1 year Relevant experience.
  • Required Licenses: Certified Respiratory Therapist Upon Hire Required and Licensed Respiratory Therapist Upon Hire Required and Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
  • Courses and Training: Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy technician program. Upon Hire Required
