About The Position

Cascades at Riverwalk is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team as we expand respiratory care services within our skilled nursing facility. This role is responsible for providing respiratory treatments, monitoring residents with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, and collaborating with physicians, nursing leadership, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure effective respiratory management and optimal resident outcomes. Requirements

  • Current Respiratory Therapist license in good standing
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to make sound clinical decisions independently when appropriate
  • Understanding of respiratory care practices and applicable healthcare regulations
  • Reliable, compassionate, and organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or hospital respiratory therapy preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to residents with pulmonary and respiratory care needs
  • Assess respiratory status and monitor residents receiving oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory interventions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement respiratory care plans
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions as appropriate
  • Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use
  • Ensure proper documentation of respiratory treatments and clinical observations
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
  • Support facility initiatives to expand respiratory care capabilities and improve resident outcomes
