About The Position

To perform specialized respiratory therapy services as directed by provider orders and in accordance with protocols, policies, and procedures established by the hospital.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• National Board for Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required upon hire or by the end of one year of employment and must be maintained throughout duration of employment.
• Required to have Florida Respiratory license prior to their first day of employment.
• Respiratory Therapists are required to maintain Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support or the equivalent as determined by the site of hire.
• Should be familiar with risks associated with exposure to infectious patients, needle puncture hazards, and hazards related to compressed gases.

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Should be familiar with The Joint Commission standards and requirements.
• Understanding of computers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills required.
