Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Pittsburg offers 25 private rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center, surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, a sleep lab, swing bed care, 16 physician offices, and a UT Health East Texas Olympic Center fitness facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an accredited JRCRTE respiratory care training program
• Active certification with the state of Texas upon hire only. Recertification upon expiration preferred
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive technical and clinical support for respiratory care services across our hospitals.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in respiratory care practices and technologies.
• Evaluating and making recommendations for services.
• Attempting to maintain a high level of didactic and psychomotor skills in order to perform assigned duties.
• Demonstrating proficiency in providing respiratory care services to include but not limited to the following modalities: invasive and non-invasive ventilatory care, aerosolized medication delivery systems, breathing exercises, oxygen delivery (set-up and maintenance) devices, postural drainage, pulse oximetry and bedside pulmonary function testing.
• Maintaining high standards of professionalism.
• Attends appropriate in-service in education both departmental and hospital wide.
